What you have to do?

On the first day of your GM diet, you can eat as many fruits as you want. There are no restrictions on when to eat. You need to avoid bananas on this day. Watermelons and mangoes are advised as they are rich in fibre.

Drink 8-10 glasses of water during the entire day. At any time of the day when you feel hungry, you can take some fruits and have them. You don’t have to starve.

How does this work?

What you have to do?

On the second day, you go for an only vegetable meal. You can cook the vegetables so that you can easily have them or else if you like, you can even eat it raw. See to that you don’t use any vegetable oil (except olive oil) while preparing or deep fry any vegetable.

Whenever you feel hungry you can have a vegetable salad. Flavours like olive oil can be used a little only if it is absolutely required.

How does this work?

Potatoes you take on this day are rich in carbohydrates; peas are rich in protein whereas carrot and beans are full of fibre and vitamins. After your low carb day, this will restore the carb levels for the next day of the diet.

These are the foods you need to avoid on day 2:

  • Protein – avoid taking protein from any source like fish, eggs, beans
  • Fats and oils – lard, butter, margarine, safflower oil.

Finally, the day has arrived when you can have the fruit you’ve been asked to avoid since 3 days. You need to have almost 8 bananas on this day. Along with this, you can have up to 3 glasses of milk.

    11am – 12pm Brunch Banana shake + ½ teaspoon honey
    1:30pm-2pm Lunch GM Diet soup*

On this day you can have a bowl of brown rice for lunch. You need to use as little of oil as you can use for cooking. Here you need to increase the amount of water intake up to 15 glasses a day.

You can prepare this soup and have it anytime on the GM Diet day 5, day 6 and day 7.

Ingredients

  • 6 onions
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 cabbage
  • 2 green peppers
  • Bunch of celery
  • ½ litre water

Preparation

  1. Chop onions and pepper. In a vessel, add little olive oil to them and wait till they turn mild brown
  2. Next add chopped tomatoes, celery and cabbage to the vessel along with water
  3. It takes about an hour to get prepared. The vegetables need to be boiled.
  4. Add pepper and salt to it according to your taste.

· Don’t drink water immediately after eating food. Wait for ½ -1 hour before drinking.

· Increase your water consumption day by day from 10 to 15 glasses.

· Exercise daily. It is important to sweat in order to lose weight effectively.

· Avoid coffee, tea, and alcohol while following this diet plan.

· Avoid cheese, butter, oil, sugar, soda drinks.

· You can have black coffee, lime water, and green tea without sugar.

· You should exercise or take a walk early in the morning for 45 minutes. This will help you better in losing extra weight of your body.

· You can take vegetables as a whole or as salad. In a salad, you can add herbs, oregano, garlic and squeezed lemon. Don’t add any other things in the salad.

· You can also have asparagus, cauliflower, peas, cabbage, corn, and others during GM Diet day 5, day 6 and day 7.
